but today was the beautiful day

yesterday's storms were driven by an approaching surface low. the cold front passed overnight, and now it's clear, cool and breezy. i've had spring fever all day. i somehow keep finding excuses to go outside. that's made it a bit hard to get work done, but i did reach a useful breakpoint between theory and practice (read: "writing code") today.
