work, work, work
Apr. 13th, 2015 09:31 pmindoors: much paperwork, a fair amount of which needed to be printed out. the printing revealed that the fancy-schmancy new versions of OSX won't work with the print server on the ancient laptop. the ancient laptop also can't cope with encrypted PDFs, thought it thinks it can: they load just fine, but they print mostly blank.
'course, the reason the ancient laptop is serving print is that it's an old powerPC machine, and can't run the newer OSXen. time to reorganize the server farm. and maybe it's an excuse to get a raspberry pi to use as a web server.
outdoors: planted three blueberry bushes and sowed lots of grass seed. i extended the back bed to accommodate one of the blueberry bushes, and yup, i found more construction debris in the ground. does explain why nothing would grow on that spot except weeds. OTOH, the spot were i dug out one of the blueberry bushes that dies now has decent soil structure, which i enriched further. who knows? maybe in a couple of decades i'll have rich soil all around.
