an optimal snowfall
Feb. 9th, 2016 07:39 pmover the past few days, the weather forecast has varied from a trace of snow to almost 8" of it. it looks like what we're getting makes both of us happy. i like snow, but dïe überblønde hates it, since she has to drive to work in it.¹
what we got was perfect. it's been snowing in bursts since last night, and we have a few inches of snow on the ground, but the roads have stayed warm enough that they're still clear. also, i went for a walk in a nearby park at lunch during one of the times of heavy snow. pictures, maybe, if i get a chance to work them up.
1: it's not the simple act of driving she minds so much as all the cretins on the road who have no idea how to drive in even snow flurries. i typically dodge this problem by going in early or late to dodge rush hours, but dïe überblønde likes keeping a regular schedule.
