let the gardening begin!
Mar. 11th, 2018 02:02 pmi've started gardening season by sowing seeds indoors. i've planted a peat-pot tray with sweet peas, celosia, mexican hats, and nasturtiums. i've got more seeds to start indoors, as soon as they vernalize; they're cooling their heels in the fridge for a few days.
in some sense, i started gardening a few weeks ago by buying some mason bee pupae. they're also in the fridge, waiting, waiting for the stars to be right in the sky. then they'll be turned loose to pollinate my blueberries.
they should also pollinate the black cherry tree. it usually bears fruit already, but it's so tall, we have no idea how to harvest it before birds eat it all. anybody have any ideas?
