that wasn't so bad
Jan. 5th, 2019 11:57 pmchoosing things to plant this spring is done. since it became apparent that i'd be afforded the fine opportunity to replant an entire garden bed, i've been planning to sow wildflower seed, in case many the bulbs don't bloom this year. they all should, but...
so i waved a seed catalog at dïe überblønde, and she liked the first mixture of wildflower seeds i wanted her to choose from. and then i offered her another catalog which sells mostly heirloom seeds, and had her pick a couple varieties of zinnias, which she likes. (the owners of that company seem to have a weakness for zinnias. they have four pages of seed on offer, only a few varieties of which are heirloom.)
now everything is being shipped. once it gets a little later in the year -- probably mid-march -- i'll sow the wildflowers and start the other seeds in peat pots. yay! so much easier than planting an infinite number of bulbs in a finite space.
