twoelevenbased on surface wind reports, it appears that the center of the storm is just north of us. weather from wilmington is is reporting winds from the west at 8mph, while KILG AWOS is reporting winds of 17014KT (170°, 14kts). wind speeds pick up as we go south.
the worst should be over, but with the winds becoming increasingly southerly, we may have a tree fall in an inconvenient direction. it does seem that we lucked out, in that news reports and the local electricity monopoly's boo-boo reports indicate more serious damage both north and south of us.
