tasty blueberries

over the last four or five days, we've gotten over an inch of rain a day. the blueberries i've picked since tasty much better: they taste like blueberries, tart with a hint of sweetness. i don't think this is coincidental, given that blueberries like it wet in general.

I ate wild growing blueberries off a bush last week that was literally growing huge and lush *in* the wetland at the edge of a stream. I had no idea they liked that much water!

yeah, they have extremely simply roots. they're understory plants in wet forests. it's probably too dry here in general, so i just water them vigorously if it doesn't rain every week.
