due to the vagaries of history, balticon has moved online. the changes from going in person are... curious. on the one hand, we're not getting out of the house, which is bad. it's too easy to stick to the weekend routine.

on the other claw, sampling several panels to see which seems more interesting is surprisingly easy, which is simply rude to do IRL. and the programming has held up -- possibly better than usual -- so there's always something interesting going on.

This is interesting to me! The sampling panels issue was one of my problems with cons; something would sound awesome but turn out to be boring or flat-out terrible and then I'd feel like I could only either stay and suffer, or leave and then not be able to pop into anything else.

It is too bad about missing the getting out of the house part, plus hallway socializing, etc. Personally I can't imagine being in that close proximity to so many folks right now, so I'm glad for you all that Balticon was able to move online. <3

oooh, yeah! it's tremendously awkward to slink out, and yes, then what? "the good stuff" tends to fill up quickly anyway, so it's hard to figure out what to do.
