that field of coreopsis extends beyond all edges of the picture.

these turned out odd: most of this kind of coreopsis is yellow with red centers, like in the previous two photos. but these came out red on the front and yellow on the back:

i'm going to have to try to remember to gather seed from these in the fall to see if they breed true. if they do, it would be an interesting variety to grow.
meanwhile, back at home, everything's coming up lilies in one bed:

this one is so orange, it escaped the color gamut on my camera, so this isn't as orange as the real flower:

these are a little easier on the camera's sensor:


and i'm just starting to pick the earliest blueberries off the bushes. they're pretty tart, which suggests they need even more water. time to set up the sprinker.
