i've now finished the first step of my trip photography workflow: reducing a large number of exposures to a smaller number that i'm thinking of working up. after much staring at very similar photos, i've cut 388 exposures of lake manyara national park and ngorongoro national conservation area done to 41 candidates, only a few of which are excellent. the rest are merely ... some will have to do, and the remainder are good.

now to actually compose and, where necessary, lightly adjust the candidates into finished photographs.
