we all live in a turquoise submarine...
Nov. 30th, 2012 07:32 pmthe daily mail has some pictures of iran's new toys:

beyond the extremely effective camouflage scheme, i'm rather puzzled as to their point. they're tiny boats. if the guy near the bow is 2m tall, the boat is ~12m long, which makes her smaller than even the earliest u-boats a century ago. i think colombian drug gangs have larger subs these days. and she has so much stuff sticking out -- is that a snorkel or a fixed periscope aft of her conning tower? -- that she'll be plenty loud underwater. forget the turquoise paint, the iranians might as well just hang a "kick me" sign on her stern for all the noise she'll make.
