the Supremes smack the feds in US v. Jones, saying "yes, duh, putting a GPS receiver on somebody's car is a 'search' that requires a warrant.". or, as i would phrase it, "eat hot legal death, wanna-be tyrants!"

i haven't had a chance to read the decision yet, but SCOTUS blog says it's a complex decision that will need some mulling over.

nonetheless, victory!
